Badger Trust - Campaigns and Research Manager

Badger Trust is currently recruiting for a new Campaigns and Research Manager to join their team. This new role will be instrumental in developing and delivering Badger Trust's campaigns for increased impact for badgers, informed by research, partnership working and also by working closely with experts in the relevant fields. The successful candidate will have solid foundations and experience in campaigning, informed and guided by research, including contributing to and delivering both short and long-term strategic plans, working with strategic partners and coalitions, and managing day-to-day relationships with key stakeholders in political, scientific and policy areas. They will be an energetic and enthusiastic campaigner, with an ability to self manage, prioritise, and recognise opportunities and be ready to act on them. They will report directly to the Executive Director, who leads the organisation on campaign strategy, and work closely with the Marketing and Fundraising Manager in terms of creation and delivery of campaigns. Don Catchment Rivers Trust - Catchment Partnership Officer

Don Catchment Rivers Trust is currently recruiting for an individual who excels at forging partnerships and creating shared visions for organisations to collaborate on to join their team as Catchment Partnership Officer. The role is an excellent opportunity for someone to contribute and shape the continuing recovery of our catchments rivers. At Don Catchment Rivers Trust you will find a supportive, friendly team, and you will also work closely with the Environment Agency’s Catchment Co-ordinator. There are opportunities and resources in the role for professional development. The role is currently carried out in approximately one day per week, but owing to recent funding investment and capacity building at the Trust, the role has been expanded to 32 hours per week, and DCRT are looking to build and improve upon what the Network delivers. Humane Society International/UK - Media and Communications Specialist

Humane Society International is currently recruiting for a Media and Communications Specialist to play an important role in increasing the effectiveness and visibility of HSI/UK and its national and international campaigns. Whether you are liaising with campaign teams to tell stories in an engaging way to the media, planning content for HSI/UK social media channels, or collaborating with the fundraising team to promote the charity’s latest event, your media and communications expertise will help raise awareness of HSI/UK, build the community and have a real impact on animals in need. Reporting directly to HSI/UK’s Executive Director, this post will work closely with colleagues both in the UK and in HSI’s Washington, DC headquarters, to deliver a coherent global approach, optimise opportunities and maximise results for our animal protection programmes around the world. Plantlife - Invitation to Tender - Campaign strategist – peat-free horticulture

Plantlife and partners including the RSPB, Wildlife Trusts and WWF, are looking for an experienced strategist (or team) who can lay the foundations for an effective political and public campaign to help end the use of peat in horticulture across the UK for our climate and for nature. You will develop a strategy for a partnership campaign to be delivered from 2022 to 2024, whose aim is to secure a legal ban on peat sales and extraction across the UK. You will facilitate input from NGOs and other contacts in the four nations, and propose a strategy for coordinated partnership delivery. Plantlife and partners are open to tenders from individuals, agencies or organisations. They estimate that the project will take 3-4 months to complete, working on a flexible part-time basis. RSPB - Principal Policy Officer (Water)

RSPB are currently recruiting for a Principal Policy Officer (Water), to lead the development and high-level advocacy of RSPB policy on water policy issues and influence important debates and decisions across the UK. You will be a highly experienced policy advocate who understands and can influence the policies that drive changes in the water environment that impact on biodiversity, both positively and negatively. You will provide thought leadership, already be well respected in this field and your advocacy, communication and campaigning skills will be second to none. The Principal Policy Officer will have a UK remit and work with policy staff across the four UK countries, working to lead the development of RSPB's overarching policy positions, helping to develop and coordinate RSPB advocacy strategies and ensure their effective implementation. The role will be responsible for undertaking high level advocacy on freshwater and coastal policy with a focus on Westminster and Whitehall and providing information, advice and support to other staff internally on these issues. The Wildlife Trusts are currently recruiting for an experienced EDI professional who would love to play a lead role in making one of the UK’s best-loved nature charities consistently, inclusive and welcoming to all to take them forward on their EDI journey to achieve their vision where everyone can benefit from and act for nature. You will have had a proven track record of supporting organisational change around EDI in a complex organisation, through providing training, support and advice. Your role will be to develop, manage and integrate the delivery of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion learning across the federation and in doing so support the successful implementation of EDI strategy. As part of this you will develop appropriate training and training resources including toolkits to empower people to lead EDI in their organisation.
